Beep, BEEP. Beep, BEEP.

I just have to point out that Season 5 of the best show I've ever seen starts this Sunday at 8:00PM. For all those of you who do not yet know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry, you are missing out. Fox's 24 is the best show there is (and the prequel for this season was awesome), and I have yet to hear of anyone who has started from Season 1 Episode 1 and has not gotten addicted. It is that good.

If you're trying to catch up, you're running out of time... Beep, BEEP. Beep, BEEP.

  1. I rarely watch television, but a friend tried to convince me of the same. I watched a few episodes, and that was enough. I totally disagree. I find the show grueling to watch. I find that the ridiculous amount of activity that the producers manage to cram into every episode makes it too exhausting to watch. I cram enough activity into an average day myself, I don't need to turn on the tv just to see more of the same.

  2. That's an interesting outlook. It's definitely an intense show, which is why it's so popular - but for someone looking for a relaxing time, I guess it's not it.

I'm curious if you started from the beginning: If yes, then you'd be the very first person who did so and didn't like it that I've heard from. A few people said they've stopped watching because it's too addictive and they don't have the time.

It's also great to watch all at once, or in large chunks: After we got married, we were both on summer break. We enjoyed taking out a couple CD's at a time and watching them. It definitely keeps you going.

I guess that's the difference, Orthomom - whether you have the time to watch or not. If you do, it's awesome. If you don't, the non-stop intensity of life just gets reinforced by the non-stop intensity of the show.

[Heh - yet another reason to move out of NY...]

  3. I got hooked on it last season. I still haven't seen seasons 1-3 yet. BTW, where is this "prequel" that you are talking about?

  4. It's online, or on Disc 7 from Blockbuster. Look around... we got it from a bittorrent site.

But watching it out of order really kills it. Half the great parts of 4 held no meaning for you!! You must watch 1-3 before 5.

The prequel is about 10 minutes long, btw.

  6. Never seen it. My friends warned me that it's great for a season and a half, then got incredibly dumb, so don't get into it.
