Wish I Was There...

Everyone knows the feeling: Something really special is happening, or has happened - and you wish you were there. You know you've just missed out on something extraordinary, something historic, something special, or something fun - and there's nothing you can do about it.

I just had that feeling. Wow - I wish I was there. The Cavs just beat the Celtics 113-109 in double overtime in the "New Boston Garden". (What, you thought it was something important?) Lebron James had 43 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks - and Paul Pierce was just as good (50 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists). This wasn't a sloppy game (just 24 turnovers combined in 2 overtimes), an ugly game (both teams shot 45% from the field), or a stupid game... this was a well-played, good, intense basketball game. Seeing Pierce and Lebron go head-to-head...

That would have been cool.

  1. I felt that way after Kobe's big game. Spent the next 4 days trying to download a copy of the game. Sounds like you missed a really good game. Hang in there. I'm sure LeBron will have a few more of these.

  3. In terms of a great game, not an individual performance... The news reports said the Garden was on its feet a large chunk of the game. Plus, 2 great performances by opposing players, while keeping everyone else playing... Sick.

What did you think of the game?

  5. Sorry, the Cavs and Celts just won't cut it. Not in the same league.

  6. Yes, but LA sports fans can't compare to Cleveland or Boston. Heck, LA can't compare to Cleveland or Boston, right Jack? ;)
