Ezzie's Blog Roundup, 3/9: Rounding Up Roundups

While I've selected all the posts for the roundup, it's time to go to bed. I'll try and put it up in the morning... meanwhile, four others did other roundups, so read them! Almost all their posts are ones I wouldn't have seen...
Judeopundit had another edition of Linkim;

SoccerDad had another "If You Haven't Seen..." set;

Daled Amos had another Late Night/Early Morning set;

and Orthonomics has a Jewish economics roundup.
Check it out!

  1. Am I allowed to say it is just plain sad that you feel this need to post something, that you are rounding up round-ups? Ezzie! The world will not collapse if you don't post anything for a day or two.

    With much love,

  3. That's right, YS. Ezzie often posts when he has nothing to say. That's sorta why we like him.

  4. Ezzie:

    Just wondering if you're going to discuss this poll, which says things like:

    About half of American troops in Iraq believe the U.S. military should leave the country within six months, and three out of four think they should pull out within a year, according to a first-of-its-kind attempt to scientifically gauge the opinion of troops in a war zone.

    85 percent [of U.S. troops] said they believed a main reason for invading Iraq was “to retaliate for Saddam’s role in the 9/11 attacks.” That’s despite the fact that there is very little concrete evidence linking Saddam Hussein to al-Qaida, and that several independent inquiries have found no links whatsoever between Saddam and the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

  5. For some reason, I could not see the above comment before, so I responded by email...

    The basic gist of my comment was that the poll is interesting but hard to make sense out of. Did the soldiers think that Iraq was ready for them to pull out, or that they should pull out anyway? Did they mean a full exit, or to begin leaving? Etc.

    Some of the bottom paragraphs imply that they are heavily against a rapid pullout, and that Americans back home don't understand enough about what's going on which is why they favor such a thing. Zogby doesn't seem to show the questions asked, so it's hard to make sense out of.
