The Yeshiva World Strikes Again

Two guys go read the comments on The Yeshiva World. A cynic will say these comments can't get any worse, an optimist says of course they can.

Turns out the optimist was right.

And I doubt they'll be taking this one down because of insulting comments.

Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy was hospitalized Saturday morning after suffering a seizure in his Cape Cod home. Kennedy was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he spent the day undergoing tests to determine the cause of the seizure....

  1. the yeshiva world audience is the lowest scum of our community.
how can comments like that for the whole world to see not generate anti jewish sentiment? do these idiots understand what they are doing when they spewed their idiocy?

  2. Niiice. Seriously, it only takes a few frum people to add fuel to the anti-semitic fire or turn off a potential BT. I can't decide if people who make comments like those quoted aren't intelligent enough to understand the impact of their comments (do they not understand how the internet works?!) or if they just don't care.

  3. Really? Wake up, believe it or not a lot of Jews and Non Jews hope this guy goes to the Devil. Everyone still trashes OJ and his life has gone from bad to worse.
This drunken bastard drove his wife literally into a mental breakdown and then this sot drove his car into a river, left his passenger to die and then came home and didnt report the accident till morning, and all because his name is Kennedy, this drunken wretch still sits in a position of power and never even had half an hour spent on a close scrutiny of what he did.
But when his nephew took a plane dive into the Ocean, he spared no taxpayer expense to look for him, subverting taxpayer paid for ships and crews even though JFK Jr was a private citizen, which usually means the Coast guards shows up, not cruisers and carrier ships.
Your the one spewing idiocy, millions of Americans from all backgrounds have contempt for this bastard, dont show your ignorance by focusing on some group you may dislike regardless of what they say about anything.

  4. Anon2 - Huh!? I'm no fan of Ted Kennedy (see the rest of the blog), but you don't - ESPECIALLY in public - wish death upon US Senators!

  5. I agree with Ezzie. Also, people LOVE to point out whenever the Jews act inappropriately because it validates any anti-semitic feelings. No one will care WHO we're talking about - if anyone from the Jewish nation starts saying things like what they're saying on the Yeshiva World, it will be taken out of context and used against us.

    Are people stupid???

  6. um, I would guess that fewer non-jews/non religious jews read all the comments on yeshiva world than read this blog. they are stupid, inappropriate comments, yes--so should you be publicizing them here? just sayin'...

  7. The previous Satmar Rebbe cursed the family of JFK with every family member dying by tragedy.

  8. I left a simple comment on the YW blog as I often do, commenting on how itsp ossible that such nasty thoughts can be read by anyone in the world and fuel anti-jewish sentiment. Kderech Hakodesh, the editors have chosen to censor that coment. It is sickening what they allow through and what they censor.

I also wrote to correct of course their commenters are wrong as Ted Keddnedy did indeed run for president in 1980 winning alot of primaries challenging the incumbent president Jimmy Carter to knocl him out for reelection. Rarely is there ever a member of one's own party courageous enough to mount such a challenge (like john mccain should have had the guts to do to bush in 2004)

  9. By linking to them you only give them power. I think the best solution is to support and promote Vos Iz Neais and not link or comment or even bring up Yeshiva World. That site is a chillul hashem.

  10. Someone oughta warn the editors that their site is open to the public. They either need to privatize the comment part or moderate it more strictly. I'm appalled.

And anon 4:53 -- That may all be true, and on a private blog they can say what they want. But when someone parades under the name "THE Yeshiva World" they have to have a certain responsibility.

  11. Yeshiva World has put those who write and read other blogs in the position of having to comment on the idiocy found at YW, if only to counter public perception of what Jewish opinion is or who Jews are. They are "out there" and it is not only their own dedicated bunch of illiterates who read what they have to say.

Actually, if that's true then it's better we publicize them and show how we don't agree with them instead of ignoring them. Truth is, they're very easy to find on google if you search for Jewish terms or news terms that they write about, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people do come across them, even if they don't read them regularly. So it's better if we respond. Then people will see that The Yeshiva World doesn't represent all Jews, or all "the yeshiva world."

  13. Sigh. This is one of the things I hate about the way frum people act... with the feeling of superiority as if they are the only people in the world that matter and anyone else can go to hell in a handbasket.

It's people like these who make me think of giving up frumkiet altogether.

  14. wow i can't believe someone with the pseudonym "Proud of KAJ-WH TIDE" made that comment. what a disgrace to R' Hirsch's legacy... as if any one doubted it, something's definitely rotten in Frankfurt-on-Hudson.
