ReplyDeletegood shabbos.
Via Batya, a great guest editorial in the New York Times by David Brooks today, taking Obama to task for his naivete.
ReplyDelete??
Brooks seems to come to exactly the opposite conclusion after talking to Obama.
Unclear, really. He takes him to task at first, then asks him a lot of questions to clarify... but it doesn't explain the original remarks. Hadn't read the whole thing carefully, so poorly worded, sorry.
ReplyDeleteObama compared Hezbollah to Hamas. Both need to be compelled to understand that “they’re going down a blind alley with violence that weakens their legitimate claims.”
Compelled, how? It's a lot of smoke and mirrors throughout.
The post about the cult is terrifying. Sylvie gives me the chills.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link. Shavua tov.
ReplyDeleteBrooks isn't a guest columnist for the Times; he was just writing on a different day of the week than usual. In general I think he is pretty pro-Obama, notwithstanding certain real reservations.
