Ezzie- imho, with your wide readership, you need to be careful with your links. You send me over to the kcc, who sends me over to a ribs recipe with vegetables sauteed in butter... Come on.
ReplyDeleteUse margarine! :)
ReplyDeleteMy point exactly. That easy substitution is second nature to you, but not to all of your readers. I am afraid the link might get some of your readers a little confused, and may think that coming from Ezzie, who identifies himself as an Orthodox Jew, and may in fact be their only contact with Orthodox Jews, it is perfectly acceptable to serve ribs with butter. I think you underestimate the influence you have on people's lives.
ReplyDeleteApparently...!
ReplyDeleteI'll let Batya know (she puts up the KCC). She's Orthodox as well, and may not have looked so closely at each recipe...
Thanks!
Sorry, about that. I checked the beef ingredients but not the side dish. He didn't submit the recipe, I just checked his blog, since he had in the past.
ReplyDeletePlease let me take this opportunity to invite you to contribute to KCC. It's monthly, and I'm glad to collect and store the food links until the next edition is done.
You can also guest-host. Ezzie was one of the first to do so.
Chodesh Tov!
