Ezzie's Blog Roundup: Pizza & Jeans

Accountants don't get legal holidays between mid-January and April 30th. We do get a "pizza & jeans" day, though... which meant that I got pizza, since I don't own any jeans (weird, right?).

Some good stuff out there I noticed over the weekend, besides all the Orthomom hubbub: (from lighter to heavier going down)
Finally, read this post by DAG. How can anyone celebrate something that so starkly reminds them of their own loss?

  4. I only do small amounts of work and ended up working yesterday. Oh well.

I remember my first job where they declared casual on Friday. So I came in a nice skirt and sweater and was reminded it was casual Friday. Thought I was casual when I left the suit at home. At least your job is descriptive of what casual is. :) Ah, days gone by.

    DAG - I'll fix it... maybe. :)

Rescue - LOL. I'm sure there are some other perks in our favor... :)

SL - Ha! Yeah, that was happening to some of the frum women yesterday a bit. Nu nu.

  6. At my current job there are casual Fridays and everyone wears jeans. Everyone but me, that is, because like you I don't own a pair. I've been debating if I should buy jeans just to wear to work on Fridays.

  7. Jewboy - I'm probably going to buy a couple pairs sometime, anyway. I could probably use them. Worse comes to worst, I'll have 'em for next year.

  8. well,
    1. your firm requires more billable hours
    2. workspaces are more cramped
    3. 2 manager to an office

I've got all those beat. Although your meal allowance is a lot better than my firms, and you have mincha/maariv in the office. I'll have to give you those, other than that...I don't know. (although I have some friends there that are very happy, so it can't be such a bad place
