On a more personal note...

I'd like to take out a moment and brag about my incredible wife, who, as of about five hours ago, finished all her requirements to receive her Master's degree! Of the grades she has received so far, she has an astounding 4.0 GPA [EDIT: Her final GPA ended up at 3.9 (a couple A-'s). Ah well, nobody is perfect... but she's close :) ], and has impressed many of her teachers. The Master's, along with her New York State certification, now allows her to teach both regular Education or Special Education, and she will now spend the next few days weighing the (thankfully) numerous offers she has received for the upcoming year. We both hope and pray that whatever job she accepts she will be happy, successful, and hopefully make a profound impact on a child's life.
(And yes, we could certainly use the money!)Gratuitous shot of Serach as a little girl.

  2. Many congrats.

I had a 4.0 for a while. Then my second semester of law school started...

    No more 4.0.

What a huge accomplishment for you. Now go inspire some kids. There are few callings more noble than that.

    God Bless You.

  5. Your "housekeeper"(slave) is jealous of your 4.0 GPA. Maybe you can teach me something when I clean your apartment. That's a good trade for not getting paid. I only read a book "Housekeeper For Dummies". I didn't get such an education like you did. Not everyone can work without getting paid and go to school. Well you're very lucky. I'm so happy for you!! But thank you for helping me learn english otherwise I wouldn't have been able to sign this thing that your husband bothers me about almost everyday!

  6. Ha! When you clean our apartment, we'll talk about payment. And you're not just a housekeeper, you're a "Polish housekeeper". See you tomorrow! (Right?!)

  9. Well, either way, we wish you the best of luck, and we hope you never have to see the inside of a courtroom again. Though if you ever do, at least you'll have a funny story about how you were in one the last time...
