Ezzie's Blog Roundup, 3/9: And Now, For Your Entertainment

Before I start the roundup, I have to congratulate Purim Ezzie. His parody of last night's roundup was really, really good... All I can say is "ouch". I'm still pretty sure I know who it is, but I'm holding off on my guesses until Purim at least...

Anyways, on to the roundup:

Meaningful:
Toby Katz at CrossCurrents discusses preparing for a Jewish burial. A beautiful post.

Treppenwitz talks about the magic of carrying one's child to bed.

LabRab has his d'var Torah from the recent siyum he made. "Like a Broken Vessel..."

Hayom's writers had an excellent discussion on prayer.

Sarah wants to be happy.

Irina wants to make a difference.

Shoshana talks about finding her comfort zone in Judaism - at BeyondBT.
Israel:
Godol Hador links to a must-see video that is absolutely appalling.

Perhaps that's why Ze'ev questions the value of democracy in Israel.

Dave wonders how people will react to a movie about a different kind of terrorist.

LifeinIsrael talks about why the UTJ shouldn't be advertising certain things.
Mixed Bag:
Charlie discusses Pluralism vs. Relativism. Excellent analysis.

Daled Amos breaks down what was really wrong with Jay Bennish's teaching.

Gil isn't into Matisyahu - and doesn't understand why he's so important.

Maven Yavin's ADDeRabbi compares our relationship to God with... the NFL. Sweet. :)
miruP:
ADDeRabbi tells us why we wear Purim costumes. It's probably not what you thought.

BeyondBT gives us a sneak peek behind the scenes.

One of the funniest bloggers out there, Robbie, thinks there's a skill we should all learn.

WestBankMama's Pappa had an interesting shift on a Purim long ago...
Enjoy!
