A top Hamas official said Tuesday the Islamic militant group will not be "blackmailed" by international threats to cut off aid to the Palestinians and is searching for new sources of funding.Umm... where I come from, you can't complain you're being blackmailed when you don't receive a present. Aid money isn't an entitlement, and the faster Hamas learns this, the better. The Quartet refuses to give money unless they can ensure it's not going to terror (and the US a step above, until they take the destruction of Israel out of their lexicon) - so what are they looking for?
Hamas, which has killed hundreds of Israelis in suicide attacks, is poised to lead the next Palestinian government after winning legislative elections.No conditions! Wonderful! That's a great way to be "ready for dialogue" - receiving money that can be used freely for terror.
"We are looking for alternative sources and we will not allow ourselves to be blackmailed," Hamdan said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press from Beirut, Lebanon. "We will not accept any conditions from anybody. At the same time, we are ready for dialogue."
This is starting well.
Actually, it Hamas who is blackmailing the suckers of the world, who think they can appease murderers with money, and I bet they find plenty of people wiling to pay.
