Does anyone have, or know anyone with Rheumatoid Arthritis?

  2. My mother a"h had it. She died 16 years ago at age 65, but RA is not a life-threatening disease (although apparently people with RA do have lower life expectancies). Obviously I'm not up on the latest treatments but I can tell you how she coped with it. Email me if you like.

  3. I have Psoriatic Arthritis, another wonderful form of Rheumatism. Its just like Rheumatoid Arthritis but with the added bonus of Psoriasis. I was diagnosed about six years ago and I'm incredibly knowledgeable about the disease and treatments. Feel free to email me.

Well, if someone has inflammation, or signs of it, is it for sure that they will develop it?

  8. Hyrax, inflammation by itself doesn't necessarily mean that there is arthritis. There can be many underlying causes. Did anything happen to the hand recently? Has it been in one position for a long time?

  10. Some say to reduce animal protein. I know of people who've had a reduction in pain/swelling by being vegetarian.
