Now THAT is Customer Service

I just called Canon about our camera, and - using the GetHuman database - was speaking to a person within seconds. This person listened to our issue and immediately got us to a tech support guy [time elapsed: <10 seconds], who listened, assured me right away it's under warranty, and took down all my info and told me how to send it in. Total time from dialing to hanging up: 7:52. Take that, Dell!

  4. I've been looking at the A530. Must be just one step up from yours. You guys happy with it? Glad to hear that their customer service is good.

  5. The A530 is 5.0 megapixels instead of 4.0, but it uses batteries a lot faster and costs more. Also, the one issue I have with the A520 is how long it takes between pictures; the A530 is supposed to be a bit worse. I *think* my SIL and brother have that, and they’re happy, and other people I know are as well… but if you’re really looking for a great one, the Canon SD450 is INCREDIBLE. J Costs a bit more, though.

  6. I'm no photographer, but I like my camera. Looks like it's about 50$ more than the A530 for an extra 2 megapixels. You probably don't need 7.1 mp anyway unless you want really big pictures.

Take a look at this site:

  7. Consumer Reports liked the A520 and another one the best of all of them, basically saying that for the average user 7mp is unnecessary. But they liked the whole line.
