The
Godol Hador's post I called "
Post of the Day"
last night,
The Science of Judaism, has now garnered over 500 comments. Wow. Heck, that's almost as many page views as I had today!
Is this a J-blog record?!* And in just 27+ hours, too. Incredible.
* No. Jewlicious has a two posts that has more, but that didn't hit 500 nearly this fast, from what I gather. And this is about to surpass just surpassed one of them already.
You still can! :) It is a doozy... and he did a pretty decent job defending it in the comments, too. A JIB nominee, at the least!
ReplyDeleteIronic that the post worthy of a JIB nomination comes just as the awards are announced. Will it still be a record in a year from now? The memory of the J-blogosphere is notoriously short. We'll see!
ReplyDeleteA flaw in the JIBs, though understandable. A blogosphere 'year' is probably 3-6 months - but it can hardly be expected that the JIBs be run every 6 months.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly why the JIBs are irrelevant- the better gauge of a blog is its active readership. Who needs them when you have raw numbers?
ReplyDeleteAs awards, they're somewhat irrelevant; as far as spreading blogs, they're a huge success.
ReplyDeleteThe post is clearly a record setter but the aggregate amount of comments must be discounted by the number of times you commented, Ezzie. You were like a Mountain Dew slugging college student in a computer lab voting on the JIBs. :)
ReplyDeleteDavid - That's the best analogy for anything I've seen all day. :)
